The accompaniment CD includes complete performances as well as accompaniments for practice or performance.
This is one of the best sources in print for any child that is going to sing in public. The ranges of the songs are appropriate for girls or unchanged voices, with the lowest note middle-C, the highest note an octave above (occasionally goes up to D). The piano accompaniment is overall lower intermediate, with melody always in the piano part, to help the performer stay on pitch. Each song starts with piano intro, and includes bridge passages between verses.

Regardless of whether you are in the choir singing soprano, alto, tenor, or bass, or if you are working on one of the solos, or if you're the piano accompanist. . .
this complete score has everything. Highly recommended, as it shows all parts including the accompaniment, unlike scores which are limited to specific parts.

Each CD in this series is a CD only, following the complete score of Handel's Messiah (see above listing for score). The purpose is to allow one to learn their part with the accompaniment of the CD! Every choral movement of "The Messiah" is on the CD (e.g., "And the Glory of the Lord," "And He Shall Purify," etc.). Your particular part (in this case, the Alto), is clear and loud, while the rest of the choir is heard at a lower volume. Allows you to hear your part clearly and sing along while looking at the score, a wonderful means of having choir members learn their parts at home. Again, all choral sections of the Oratorio including orchestra are on the CD, including the famous "Hallelujah!" chorus. Wonderful idea, it works, and is highly recommended!! |
